: (1879) Arrival at Kigungu of Frs. Leon Livinhac, Leon Barbot, Ludovic Girault together with Bro. Amans Delmas who went to fetch them from Kageye (Tanganyika). Monthly Mapeera and Amans Mass at Nnabulagala (6pm) and Namugongo (5.30pm)

: (1879) At Nabulagala, the pioneer missionaries consecrated their lives, mission and country Uganda to the Blessed Virgin Mary. +This year 2017, there will be a renewal of this act in Lubaga Cathedral during the Mass of 10.00am. The main celebrant will be His Eminence Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala. There will be a procession with the Statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Mapeera-Nnabunnya Pilgrimage Centre to Lubaga Cathedral at 9.00am

: (1846) Birth of Mgr Leon Livinhac, at Buzeins in the district of Rodez in France. He was the first bishop of Uganda and baptised the first Uganda Catholics.

: (1885) Mapeera, Amans and Fr. Pierre Giraud founded Nalukolongo mission. : (1896) Death of Bishop Antonin Guillermain at Villa Maria. His successor was Bishop Henri Streicher.

: (1926) Birth of Mgr Adrian Ddungu at Ssango in Rakai district. He was the successor of Mgr Joseph Kiwanuka in Masaka Diocese in 1962.

: (1887) Alexander Mackay expelled from Buganda by Kabaka Mwanga. He never came back. He died on the 8th February 1890 at Usambiro in Tanganyika. His remains were brought back in Uganda in 1927 and interred at Namirembe.
